About the role:
We have an opportunity for an experienced individual in Technical Field Support to join our team based in Sydney. Reporting to the Branch Technical Support Manager. The role will require extensive Knowledge of the lift industry as you will be providing technical advice to technicians directly on-site and over the phone.
This role will be ideally suited to an experienced, Technical Field Support, Lift Technical support, Technical Services Group (TSG), Technical Field Engineer or a highly experienced Lift Service Technician looking to step up in their career.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing technical advice to technicians directly (onsite) and indirectly (via phone and remote diagnostic platform)

Assisting in identifying specific training requirements for field personnel and facilitate both in-class and onsite training & mentoring

Providing technical support for Schindler-installed units & third party units maintained by Schindler

Driving reliability improvements

Analysing data and provide technical support and/or suggest improvements

Documenting technical problems together with their respective solutions in the technical database and then communicate this information with the relevant personnel
What we are looking for:
-
Electrical Trade qualification (recognised in Australia)

Good knowledge of lift codes (EN81 and AS1735) along with related standards
-
Thorough, proven technical fault-finding ability, with an ability to apply to both Schindler and third party products

Excellent understanding of installation and maintenance of lifts & escalators with the ability to disseminate that information to a broad audience

Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to work under pressure

An uncompromising commitment to quality workmanship and safety policies and procedures

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and SAP beneficial (however training provided)

Ability to work within a responsive team in a dynamic environment

Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
