About the Role

Reporting to the Service Manager, you will work as part of a field-based service team supporting a portfolio of clients across Mackay region.

This is a hands-on role involving scheduled maintenance, breakdown response, and repairs to ensure equipment operates safely and reliably. You will work both independently on-site and in coordination with internal teams, maintaining strong communication with customers and delivering service in line with company procedures and safety standards.

You will utilise field systems to record service activities, diagnose faults, and ensure accurate reporting of all work completed.

Key accountabilities:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance and complete all service documentation
  • Respond to breakdowns and call-outs, including after-hours as required
  • Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and isolate unsafe equipment
  • Communicate effectively with customers and provide service updates
  • Identify and report equipment issues and improvement opportunities
  • Maintain tools, vehicles, and site standards
  • Follow all safety procedures and promote safe work practices

About You:

Must Have

  • Trade qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or related discipline
  • Electrical licence Required
  • Ability to travel where required
  • Minimum 2+ years post-trade service or maintenance experience in the vertical transport industry   
  • Strong fault-finding and breakdown response capability
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality

Desirable

  • Experience in mining, industrial, or similar environments
  • Exposure to automated or control systems
  • Experience working in a customer-facing service role
  • Familiarity with field service systems and digital reporting tools
