About the Opportunity

A rare opportunity exists for a full time Senior Project Manager to work across a major health infrastructure project in the Illawarra region. Working within the well-established and dedicated project team in NSW, this opportunity will see you based on site (2), overseeing the contractor’s site activities through the design finalisation, construction and commissioning phases for two health projects.

This opportunity may suit Project Engineers or experienced Site Managers looking to transition to Client-Side Project Management.

Key responsibilities will include;

• Providing expertise in the validation or site related construction management activities
• Daily inspection of the contractor’s management of their site establishment, quality, WH&S and environmental controls with potential issues raised for rectification
• Assisting in assessment of Notices of Delay and Extension of Time claims from site level observations
• Assisting the Programmer with monthly programme reviews and Cost Manager with progress claim reviews
• Preparing notices (for PAP sign-off) in regards to time and progress claims
• Participating in building commissioning planning and implementation, including handover manual reviews
• Supporting handover and defect management to end users
• Client reporting and checklists in relation to site management

What Sets You Apart 

• Tertiary qualifications in a construction or a related discipline
• Minimum 5 years experience in Project Management and/or Site Management
• Experience includes construction through commissioning and handover ($250m plus)
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Excellent communication skills; written, listening and verbal
• Be well presented and have a positive attitude
• Demonstrated project or precinct experience in the health sector will be viewed favourably
