ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Commercial Manager to join our Business Services team in Perth with a national focus. This full-time, permanent position is crucial to Kinetic IT’s strategic direction and will play a key role in managing Kinetic IT’s commercial risk position by establishing internal controls, progressing complex and strategically important transactions with a diverse customer base in accordance with our risk tolerances and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within our business.   

With a primary focus on Kinetic IT’s Professional Services business, you will be instrumental in customer acquisition processes such as RFTs, RFIs, and RFQs. Additionally, to be responsible for reviewing proposed contract terms, developing contract qualifications, and ensuring alignment with Kinetic IT’s approved legal and commercial standards and risk thresholds. Ensuring success in our corporate leasing, insurance programs, and Intellectual Property protection will be a primary focus of your role

Further overview of your typical responsibilities will include:

• To liaise with and instruct Kinetic IT’s internal and external legal counsel. 
• Develop and execute commercial engagement strategies consistent with Kinetic IT’s strategic direction and risk appetite including developing contract templates, guidance packs and delivering training. 
• Act as primary escalation point for Kinetic IT’s contract managers to resolve disputes.
• Provide expert advice on commercial risks across various business areas, including strategic guidance to Kinetic IT’s executive leadership team.

For further consideration, we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualifications, ideally in a related discipline (e.g. Commerce, Finance, Law, Accounting or IT).
• Significant experience in Commercial Management, Risk Management (Commercial), Contract Management, or Legal (Commercial), with demonstrated expertise in negotiating commercial and/or contract terms.
• Also, to hold past experience in a Professional Services capacity would be highly regarded.
