ABOUT THE ROLE

Leveraging your experience in leading or establishing a Cyber Security Monitoring Detection and Response function, you will play a key role in safeguarding security and infrastructure across our client’s environment.

Your experience assessing and evaluating cyber vulnerabilities will allow you to succeed. You’ll possess strong stakeholder management skills that will allow you to engage with and manage the expectations of stakeholders.

YOUR DUTIES WILL INCLUDE

• Leading and managing a Cyber Security Monitoring, Detection, and Response function, including the development and mentorship of lower-tier analysts through knowledge sharing, training, and guidance on complex security issues.
• Monitoring, investigating, and resolving security incidents by analysing event data to identify and respond to malicious or suspicious activity across our client’s networks and systems, following established standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Assessing, evaluating, and addressing cyber vulnerabilities, including researching new and evolving threats to enhance security measures.
• Providing subject matter expert (SME) advice in client meetings to align with service level agreements (SLAs) and incident handling processes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of communications.
• Identifying gaps and leading maturity efforts for log source and rule enhancements, collaborating with clients and engineers to develop solutions and perform changes, adhering to change management processes.
• Coordinating problem management activities, including leading tiger teams and conducting root cause analysis sessions to address and mitigate recurring issues.

• Essential: Hold an active Government Security Clearance
• Cyber Security experience in Federal Government required
