ABOUT THE ROLE
Kinetic IT are currently looking for a skilled and experienced Test Engineer to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract. If you are passionate about quality assurance and have a strong background in testing web applications, we would like to hear from you.
If you were here yesterday, these are some of the things you would be involved in:
- Perform functional testing (front-end and back-end), integration testing, and regression testing for web applications.
- Reproduce defects in test systems and provide clear replication steps.
- Prior experience in testing ServiceNow applications or any other tools offering IT operations/service management.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow ATF (Automation Testing Framework) is a bonus.
- Experience in using Jira - Zephyr Test management tool to write and execute test cases, and report defects
- Develop test plans that define the scope, objectives, and strategy of testing, working closely with the business analysts and developers to align on requirements and expectations.
- Conduct regression testing to ensure that new features or changes do not impact existing functionality.
- Perform integration testing to verify seamless interaction between different software components.
- Drive continuous improvement by refining testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
Keen to get involved? You’ll just need some of the following:
- Functional, integration and regression testing for web applications.
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test processes, and testing tools.
- Experience in using DevOps Test Plans or Jira for creating test suites, test plans, and test cases.
- Experience in Testing Web applications that use Microsoft technologies C#, .NET.
- Experience in Testing ServiceNow and API testing.
- Strong SQL skills, with the ability to write and modify SQL queries
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
Certifications:
- Agile certifications (Desirable)
- ISTQB Foundation (Desirable)
