About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team supporting a Federal Government account. In this role, you will focus on providing BAU support, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical technology environments. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining and optimizing a wide range of systems and services, including cloud, virtualization, and networked environments. The role requires an active NV1 clearance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Windows Server OS across multiple versions, ensuring stability and security.
- Support and optimize multi-domain server environments.
- Administer and maintain VMWare environments, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Manage cloud services within Azure, ensuring adherence to best practices and security standards.
- Implement and manage backup and recovery solutions, including Commvault Backup and MABS.
- Manage proxy, CITRIX, Networking, SQL, Linux, and Exchange environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless IT services.
- Monitor system performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Document processes, maintain system configurations, and ensure compliance.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Systems Engineer, with expertise in Windows Server OS management.
- Strong skills in managing multi-domain server environments.
- Proficiency in VMWare administration and Azure cloud services.
- Experience with backup and recovery solutions (Commvault, MABS).
- Familiarity with proxy, CITRIX, Networking, SQL, Linux, and Exchange is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to system management.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
