About The Role
As Team Leader, you will lead a combined team supporting Desktop and SOE activities, providing strong day-to-day people leadership and operational coordination. A key focus of the role will be bringing the two teams together to work cohesively, improving collaboration, handovers and overall service delivery.

Responsibilities will include:
• Lead and manage a combined Desktop and SOE team, providing clear direction, support and coordination across day-to-day technical operations.
• Provide strong people leadership, including team coordination, performance management, coaching, goal setting, feedback and escalation management.
• Manage daily operational activities, including workload allocation, rostering, resource planning and ensuring calls, tickets and account-specific tasks are appropriately prioritised and progressed within agreed service levels.
• Monitor team workload and capacity, providing support and adjusting priorities and resources to maintain effective service delivery.
• Drive greater collaboration between the Desktop and SOE teams, creating clear communication, effective handovers and a cohesive approach to supporting the customer environment.
• Ensure Desktop operational activities are appropriately transitioned to and progressed by the SOE team where required, maintaining accountability through to completion.
• Act as a key escalation point for both the team and customer, supporting issue resolution, follow-up and communication to maintain customer satisfaction.
• Provide quality assurance and operational guidance, reviewing work delivered by the team and providing direction where required to maintain service standards.
• Work closely with the Operations Manager, supporting broader operational objectives, resource planning and the effective delivery of services across the account.
• Support resource planning and scheduling, including leave coverage, after-hours requirements, on-call rosters, patching activities, disaster recovery testing and other planned operational activities.
• Support project delivery and resource coordination, ensuring approved project activities are appropriately resourced and delivered within required timeframes.
• Support management of the project pipeline, scaling resources up or down as required while maintaining an appropriate balance between project and BAU operational requirements.
• Work collaboratively with other teams and Team Leaders, ensuring effective coordination across the broader operational environment.
• Review change records and associated communications, ensuring appropriate quality, consultation and stakeholder engagement prior to approval.
• Maintain strong governance and compliance, ensuring activities align with Kinetic IT, customer and stakeholder policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.
• Uphold Kinetic IT’s Universal Behaviours and consistently demonstrate the standards expected by Kinetic IT and our customers.

What you’ll bring to the table:
• Previous track record managing technical teams
• Understanding of how an enterprise managed service provider operates (ideal)
• Experience with staff rostering
• Proven track record bringing co9hesion to a team
• Excellent customer facing skills
