Job Description:
The University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences is seeking a qualified, dynamic and collaborative individual to join our Department of Orthopaedic-Surgery and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as Assistant or Associate Professor. This position will provide patient centered care in both Outpatient and Inpatient and engage in teaching/research activities with residents, medical students and other learns in fulfillment of University of Toledo and UT Health mission. In coordination with Faculty rules, UTHealth policies, the employee will be responsible for regulatory compliance, patient care, student supervision and academic work.
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery and /or Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
- Must be eligible, obtain and maintain medical licensure in the State of Ohio.
- Unrestricted DEA License
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, research and service.
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Ability to mentor and teach medical students as well as residents
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fellowship training in a subspecialty area.
- Experience in Academic Medicine or teaching environments
- Evidence of scholarly publications or research activity.
- Experience working with interdisciplinary teams.
