Job Description:
The Administrative Director of pharmacy is responsible for clinical and distributive pharmacy services at University of Toledo and facilitates clinical experiential education of pharmacy learners on the campuses of the University of Toledo. The director facilitates the development, implementation, and maintenance of systems that promote desired patient outcomes in an academic medical center environment across the continuation of care.
Minimum Qualifications:
•Advanced degree – Pharm D, MBA, MS in Hospital or Pharmacy Administration
•Seven to nine (7-9) years’ experience in pharmacy leadership
•Registered to practice pharmacy in the State of Ohio or eligible for licensure
•PGY1 and/or PGY2 residency preferred may be replaced with 6 years of management experience.
•Communication and other skills:
•Must possess skills to handle stressful situations including the ability to multitask, prioritize and solve problems.
•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Must be able to train, evaluate and supervise professional and technical personnel and staff
•Must be tactful and courteous in dealing with patients and visitors. Able to maintain an effective working relationship with personnel and the health care team.
•Must possess the ability to resolve conflicts and respond appropriately to complaints, and be able to analyze data, and interpret policies, procedures and regulations, develop appropriate conclusions, and prepare reports.
