Job Description:
The Instructional Support Coordinator provides essential academic and instructional support to faculty at the American Language Institute (ALI). This role ensures that ESL instructors have the resources, guidance, and coordination needed to deliver high-quality English language instruction. The coordinator supports curriculum implementation, facilitates student placement and assessment, enhances communication between faculty and administration, and contributes to maintaining program quality and student success.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Applied Linguistics, English as a Second Language, or a related field required.
- Understanding of ESL pedagogy, language assessment practices, and academic support services.
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- Proficiency with instructional technology and digital learning platforms.
- Ability to maintain accurate academic records and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with faculty, students, and administrators.
- Problem-solving ability and resourcefulness in supporting curriculum and student needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in TESOL, Education, or related field.
- Experience working in ESL/EFL programs, especially in higher education or intensive English settings.
- Familiarity with placement testing tools and assessment design.
- Experience organizing academic workshops, tutoring, or supplemental learning programs.
- Proficiency with student information systems or learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle).
