Job Description:
Under the direction of the Provider Enrollment Supervisor, responsible for enrollment of University of Toledo Physicians, LLC providers for the UTP, LLC delegated carriers. Primary responsibilities include taking a new provider application from receipt to inclusion in directory and making ongoing updates. This involves accurate and timely entry of provider data, including provider applications and contract information, status changes, payee changes. It also includes verification of all the credentialing criteria for practitioners that have applied to the network through initial credentialing, re-credentialing, and following up with practitioners as needed to obtain information for the credentialing process or as a result of mail being returned undelivered to UTP.
Minimum Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in a business environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel necessary.
• Experience working with a credentialing database preferred.
• NAMSS certification preferred (CPCS). If not currently certified, the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain NAMSS certification within 2 years of being hired.
• Credentialing experience required.
• Demonstrated competence in core credentialing concepts.
• Organized, analytical, detail- and deadline-driven. Strong multitasking and customer service skills.
