Job Description:
This position is responsible for supervising Grants Accounting processes ensuring compliance, budgeting, and monitoring of grants and contracts, processing billings, etc.: preparing financials and other reports as required by the granting agency; advising on fiscal matters as they relate to the grant; performing various analysis and special reports as needed and assisting with training of Grants Analyst staff and University Community.
Minimum Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field is required.
• Ability to conduct individual and group training sessions.
• Detailed oriented with the ability to analyze systems and processes to increase compliance and efficiency.
• Quick learner.
• Thorough knowledge of MS Excel is required, and MS Access is preferred.
• Ability to prioritize tasks.
• Ability to plan and organize well to meet deadlines.
• Must display excellence in customer
Preferred Qualifications:
• Masters in Business or Public Administration preferred.
• Experience in Fund Accounting preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience with one (1) year experience in accounts receivable or Grants Accounting preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of MS Excel is required, and MS Access is preferred.
• Prior experience in working with grants and contracts is a plus.
