Job Description:
The Air Quality Technician III is responsible for daily maintenance and repair of H.V.A.C & R equipment and related systems. Effective and efficient operation of the above-mentioned equipment and systems help to promote a safe and comfortable living, learning, and working environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess a High School Diploma or equivalent GED
•
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing advanced level troubleshooting on H.V.A.C & R equipment, associated systems, and Direct Digital Controls
•
Ability to use math, read and write common vocabulary, and understand manuals and verbal instruction.
•
Maintain a valid driver’s license and must be insurable under UT driving policies.
•
Ability to interpret blueprints and use this information to troubleshoot equipment and systems.
•
Possess the ability to work independently and function as a team member in a dynamic facility maintenance environment.
•
Ability to use hand and power tools as they relate to HVAC/R and maintenance.
•
Ability to apply principles to solve a variety of everyday practical problems.
•
Work well with hands and with close tolerances.
•
Must possess the ability to develop shop work schedules and complete cost estimates for construction projects.
