Job Description:
THE UNIVERSITY OF TOLEDO COLLEGE OF LAW seeks to hire two Assistant, Associate and/or Full Professors of Law for the 2026-2027 Academic Year to teach first year and required courses that can include Intellectual Property, Contracts, Torts, Business Associations, Property, and/or Professional Responsibility. The core responsibilities of these positions include teaching courses and service to students, the College of Law, the University, and the broader legal community.
The University of Toledo is a comprehensive metropolitan public university with a $750+ million annual budget and graduate programs in Law, Medicine, Engineering, and Pharmacy, among others. The Toledo metropolitan area, with a population of over 650,000, is located on the Western shore of Lake Erie and boasts a world-ciass art museum, lively cultural scene, popular Triple-A baseball team, and a very affordable cost of living. Filling this position is subject to funding availability and approval of the Provost.

Minimum Qualifications:
Successful candidates must have a juris doctorate or equivalent with an outstanding academic record, the potential to be an excellent educator and demonstrated experience in areas of law including, but not limited to, Intellectual Property, Contracts, Torts, Business Associations, Property, Business Associations and/or Professional Responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include excellent academic credentials, scholarly publications or demonstrated scholarly potential, and meaningful legal experience.
