As a SCADhome concierge specialist, you will manage operational and administrative tasks, including email communications and other correspondence, as well as file maintenance. You will direct calls to connect students with the appropriate department, respond to all student inquiries about SCADhome, and oversee the help desk. Maintenance Technician I

As a maintenance technician I, you will perform basic upkeep and assist other trade personnel with building and equipment maintenance (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, drywall, appliance, and furniture repair). You will conduct daily building walkthroughs to assess assets that require mechanical, electrical, or painting improvements, and coordinate with other areas of physical resources on all necessary repairs. Responsibilities include work order completion, problem area documentation, and the operation of equipment and machines such as trucks, forklifts, and hand and power tools. You will follow all relevant schedules and timelines, notify supervisors when emergencies occur or assistance is needed, and handle on-call situations as necessary. The Assistant Director (AD) of the Office of Disability Resources at SCAD Atlanta is the lead expert in ADA accommodations on the SCAD Atlanta campus and ensures efficient and comprehensive access and support for students with disabilities. The AD supports the overall development and execution of accessibility services on the SCAD Atlanta campus.
This position involves collaborating with various university departments, assessing student documentation, determining appropriate academic accommodations, maintaining a caseload of students with disabilities, providing training to faculty and staff, and actively participating in campus-wide initiatives to improve access for individuals with access needs. The assistant director also serves as a resource for adaptive computer technology and engages in outreach, executive functioning support, and psychoeducational program development.
The assistant director is responsible for faculty and staff ADA and 504 trainings and is considered the lead resource for ADA accessibility consultation at SCAD Atlanta. This position works closely with the SCAD Savannah Office of Disability Resources team to ensure equity and consistency in accessibility support across all SCAD campuses. |
