As an assistant facilities manager, you will oversee the conference room, events, and student room reservation requests. You will create e-commerce and finance reports, track capital expenses, and assist the executive director with managing construction projects. You will perform administrative tasks, serve as a backup when the facilities manager is out of the office, and manage preventative maintenance vendors/contractors. You will develop project manager schedules, hire contractors/vendors, order materials, and inspect all work. Before hiring contractors or vendors, you will conduct research and obtain bids. Additionally, you will collect billing and insurance information.
In this role, you will oversee the completion of special assignment projects and maintenance management. You will ensure the continuity of training documents for the Atlanta location, oversee vehicle maintenance and tagging, and uphold safety measures. You will be responsible for summer residence hall flips, including schedules, inspections, work lists, supply orders, and vendor coordination and billing. You will manage reservations, lead building and event inspections, create punch lists, and oversee quality control. Additionally, you will also manage guest house check-ins, inspections, and any issues that arise. As needed, you will clean facilities, care for both interior and exterior plants, move furniture for event setups, and make purchases. You may also write letters, enter and file data, track orders, and assist in the mailroom.
The ideal candidate demonstrates exemplary customer service and effective time management skills. They are a self-starter with a keen eye for detail and logical organization. They also complete work orders and assigned projects on time.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Ability to push pull, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- AutoCAD or Autodesk Revit experience
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
- Valid driver’s license
- Acceptance as a SCAD-authorized driver
Travel Required:
Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
