As a disability and access testing coordinator, you will manage all center activities, including student schedules, communications, and document development, production, and distribution. Responsibilities include the review of student information to implement exams that align with course parameters; student and exam data to report services rendered, trends, and center needs; and department assessment assistance. You will effectively manage a professional testing area to ensure the proper implementation of exams and actively monitor tests in progress. Likewise, you will maintain the confidentiality and security of tests and the testing environment to support student disability-related accommodations.
In this role, you will establish an excellent rapport with students, recommend process and policy improvements to supervisors, and coordinate with staff, students, and faculty to meet testing accommodations. Among other duties, you will develop and implement training and educational opportunities for students, staff, and faculty about testing processes, policies, and exam management. This role requires you to understand and comply with guidelines for testing locations and the procedures for each exam, in conjunction with faculty requests. Additional duties may be assigned at any time.
The ideal candidate exhibits a calm, professional, positive, and friendly demeanor throughout the testing process to answer questions. This individual is exceptionally skilled in interpersonal and written communication, organization, and engaging with diverse populations. They are highly detail-oriented and capable of multitasking while maintaining data confidentiality.
Minimum qualifications:
- B.A. degree
- At least three years of relevant experience
- Computerized testing system process management
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suite software
- Knowledge of ADA, 504, and disability legislation
Travel required:
Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
