As a maintenance technician II, you will perform basic upkeep and assist other trade personnel with building and equipment maintenance (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, flooring, drywall, appliance, and furniture repair). You will conduct daily building walkthroughs to assess assets that require mechanical, electrical, or painting improvements, and coordinate with other departments on all necessary repairs. Responsibilities include work order completion, problem area documentation, and the operation of equipment and machines such as trucks, forklifts, and hand and power tools. You will follow all relevant schedules and timelines, notify supervisors when emergencies occur or assistance is needed, and handle on-call situations as necessary. Additionally, you will comply with all SCAD and OSHA safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

Minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED, or a combination of education and experience
- At least two years of experience in general maintenance and repairs
Certificates, licenses, and registrations:
- Valid driver’s license
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT medical exam
- Acceptance as SCAD-authorized driver
Travel required:
Work hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
