Drywall Technician	Savannah
As the drywall technician, you will install drywall on walls and ceilings and secure drywall panels to the building's interior framework. You will prepare panels for painting by taping or finishing joints, smooth out imperfections, and work with ceiling tile installers to build walls. Among other duties, you will read blueprints and designs; prepare panels by sawing, drilling, or cutting holes for electrical outlets, air conditioning units, and plumbing; and use a lift to position ceiling panels. You will also measure, cut, fit, and secure drywall panels and press paper tape into compound. After pressing the paper, you will apply multiple coats of compound, smooth away excess material, and sand the surfaces between coats. Additionally, you will fill joints between panels and cover nail and screw holes with spackle using a trowel.

You will conduct daily building walkthroughs to assess assets that require mechanical, electrical, or painting improvements, and coordinate with other departments on all necessary repairs. Responsibilities include work order completion, problem area documentation, and the operation of equipment and machines such as trucks, forklifts, and hand and power tools. You will follow all relevant schedules and timelines, notify supervisors when emergencies occur or assistance is needed, and handle on-call situations as necessary. Additionally, you will comply with all SCAD and OSHA safety regulations, policies, and procedures.

As a housekeeper, you will perform cleaning and housekeeping services in assigned areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, guest rooms, laundry and storage rooms, offices, and common areas. You will provide a safe, sanitary, and healthy environment for employees, students, and guests. Among other duties, you will clean floors, dust surfaces, wash towels, empty trash, and make beds. You will greet guests at building entrances to ensure proper hospitality, respond promptly to their needs and issues, and report and return any guest property found in rooms after checkout.
