Cook Savannah
The cook is responsible for estimating food consumption and for purchasing foodstuffs; the cook will receive and examine supplies to ensure quality and quantity meets established standards and specifications. The cook is responsible for the selection and development of recipes, as well as cooking or otherwise preparing food, such as carving meats or trimming and cutting. The cook will work with other personnel to prepare meals and will give instructions to workers as to size portions and methods of garnishing.  Minimum Qualifications:    High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training   Equivalent combination of education and experience   Certificates, licenses, and registrations: Valid driver’s license  Work Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Shop Technician Atlanta
As the shop technician, you will maintain a safe, functional, and clean working shop environment while performing basic maintenance on equipment and facilities. This includes wood shops, metal shops, plastic labs, sculpture facilities, laser cutters, and 3D printers. You must demonstrate safe and correct operations of studio equipment, enforce all shop policies, provide data to the shop manager, safe and correct operations of studio equipment, and oversee daily assignments to ensure they are thoroughly completed. Additionally, you will participate in university special projects, attend all university-sponsored safety and secure training sessions, and provide backup operations support.
Technical Designer Savannah
As the technical designer you will work in collaboration with professors and staff as they assist fashion students in turning ideas into finished products, anticipating any design issues and liaising with students to ensure garments adhere to the established specifications, and that the end results are high-quality, marketable products. In this position you are expected to offer expert technical support in specialized technical design room areas of fabric preparation, pattern layout and marking, garment assembly, and pressing while demonstrating industrial sewing, hand sewing, and fine finishing techniques. Responsibilities include regularly preparing fabric and patterns and supporting the department's needs.
