Position Summary:
Washburn University’s Allied Health Department invites applications for the position of Medical Dosimetry Clinical Coordinator/Lecturer with a start date of January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. This position is a 12-month full-time, lecturer faculty appointment with possible conversion to tenure track.

Essential Functions:
• Teach 12 credit hours per semester or a full workload as defined by the faculty handbook.
• Teach and develop didactic and/or clinical Allied Health Department courses, as appropriate, in assigned modalities.
• Advise students, maintain office hours in accordance with SAS and university policy, attend meetings, and engage in service activities in the Allied Health Department, the School of Applied Studies, the University, the profession, and the community.
• Correlate and coordinate clinical education with didactic education and evaluate its effectiveness.
• Support the program director to ensure effective program operations.
• Participate in the accreditation and assessment processes.
• Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development.
• Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress.
• Must hold and maintain a valid Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) certification or equivalent.
• If converted to a tenure track position, responsibilities will include scholarly activity.
Required Qualifications:
• A relevant master’s degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE).
• Minimum of two years’ clinical experience as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD).
• Minimum of one year of experience as an instructor in a JRCERT-accredited program.
• Experience in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
• Current Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) certification.
• Demonstrated dedication to developing inclusive teaching practices that engage all learners.
• Official educational transcripts required at the time of hire.
• Must hold and maintain a valid Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
• A relevant doctorate degree from an academic institution accredited by an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (USDE).
• Experience in teaching online courses.
• Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
