General Summary
The Counseling Training Clinic (CTC) Graduate Assistant position performs administrative, operational, and clerical duties to assist the CTC Coordinator in Clinic operations. This position is both public- and internal-facing and requires excellent organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, as well as proactive, increasing independence. The Graduate Assistant receives a stipend and a tax-exempt tuition waiver.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the CTC Coordinator with the following Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Managing the electronic health record (EHR) system, including scheduling, preparing, and sending client intake and other paperwork while reviewing for completeness, while adhering to HIPAA/FERPA and ethical standards
- Managing the recording system
- Managing Clinic contacts via telephone, email, and in-person
- Managing the parking system
- Orientation and training of each Practicum Cohort on CTC policies and procedures
- Promoting the CTC through events, creating flyers, etc.
- Assisting the CTC Coordinator in conducting research and planning events

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work up to 20 hours per week is required.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
- A 67% course completion rate is required.
- Admission and enrollment in the Counseling graduate program at Eastern Michigan University are required.
- Enrollment in at least 6 credits in Fall and Winter, and at least part-time enrollment in Summer semesters, is required.

Note: The position will begin in April 2026 as a student employee to allow time for onboarding. The individual is expected to continue working as a student employee during the summer. During the Fall and Winter terms, the role will be appointed as a Graduate Assistant (GA).
