Graduate Assistant, Department of Parks, Recreation, Exercise and Sport Science Richmond Campus
Graduate Assistants with the Department of Parks, Recreation, Exercise and Sport Science (PRESS) will assist faculty and department administration to fulfill the mission, strategic initiatives, and essential function of the department in a way that is congruent with their educational goals. The Department of PRESS provides graduate assistants the opportunity to lead, promote and advocate for our programs and students through instruction, service, and scholarship. Each graduate student is mentored and encouraged towards personal development in content knowledge and application of knowledge, inside and out of the classroom.
Runner Richmond Campus
Runners are responsible for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of his/her assigned vehicle, as well as providing efficient errands and incidental trips for production or guests.
Administrative Professional I Richmond Campus
Provides professional administrative support to the department through coordination, communication, critical thinking, teamwork, and clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls, and scheduling meetings. Assists with conducting research, preparing statistical reports, and handling information requests. May also assist in the training and technical direction to lower-level clerical staff.

Staff Psychologist Richmond Campus
An EKU Staff Psychologist assists in the mission of the Counseling Center by promoting personal, social, and career development of EKU students. A Staff Psychologist provides the full range of counseling center services: individual and group counseling, assessment, career counseling, , outreach, education/training of the university community on early detection of distressed students and how to refer, crisis intervention, consultation, referral, supervision, and outcome research. Providing the standard of care services and adhering to professional standards is highly emphasized, including the maintenance of appropriate clinical documentation according to established protocol. Utilizes relevant assessment/diagnostic tools for identification of needs of client. Rotates coverage of after-hours on-call phone. Other duties as assigned by the Director.

The American Sign Language Lab tutor will provide individual and group American Sign Language tutoring to students enrolled in ASL classes, the Deaf and Hard of Hearing educator prep, and the interpreter education programs. ASL tutors also assist ASLIE faculty and staff with various tasks as needed.

The successful applicant should hold a doctorate in parks, recreation, leisure, or related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. ABD applicants may be considered, but must have a doctorate (verified by official transcripts) at the time of appointment. At least one advanced degree in recreation and parks/leisure studies is required. Additionally, applicants must hold a current Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification.
