Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Director of Workforce Development and Corporate Educational Partnerships leads the university's initiatives to connect with corporate partners and adult learners offering educational development, resources, and programming. This position requires interaction with corporate and industry leaders, including leaders of corporate human resources divisions to envision, develop, and deliver on mutually beneficial partnerships. The Director will work in the field, meeting with corporate leaders and employees on location and on campus and will be a highly reliable point of contact for external stakeholders including potential and enrolled students. The Director will also work on campus, serving as the primary and/or supplemental point of contact for students throughout the student life cycle from recruitment through graduation.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Master's degree preferred. Degree Advising, Counseling, Student Personnel Service, Higher Education Administration, Business Administration, or Public Administration, or in an academic discipline with relevant administrative work experience in student success and/or public relations.

Experience: Eight years of higher education or related experience is required.

Job Duties:

  • 50% - Develop and maintain relationships with corporate partners; community engagement; collaborate with university and external stakeholders to identify, establish, and deepen mutually beneficial partnerships in community and region. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Recruit and retain adult learners, including those matriculating to and through the university through established corporate partnerships; coordinate, provide, and support advising and mentoring of adult learners. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Provide oversight and coordinate the delivery of community/workforce development programming including grant initiatives. - (Essential)
  • 10% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Essential)
