Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Director of Player Development will assist the baseball coaching staff in all areas of player development and will assist in the coordination and execution of recruiting activities. This position will assist with student-athlete development, as well as working with multiple athletic department units including academics, compliance, marketing/communications, and the ticket office. The Head Baseball Coach will assign other duties and special projects, as necessary. This position should have a basic knowledge of NCAA rules as it pertains to assigned job duties and the scope of employment.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Two years experience in baseball operations or coaching experience at the NCAA Division I or equivalent level. Must demonstrate Knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.

Job Duties:

  • 40% - Manages daily player development activities efforts. - (Essential)
  • 25% - Prepares and executes on campus recruiting visits. Serves as liaison to Athletic and University personnel including compliance, academics, facility operations, housing and admissions. - (Essential)
  • 20% - Manages all baseball recruiting activities and ensures compliance with NCAA regulations. Plan, coordinate and manage all official and unofficial recruiting events for baseball prospective student-athletes. Manage transfer portal. Oversees all baseball student managers. - (Essential)
  • 15% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties assigned by the head coach. - (Essential)
