Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Counselor will join a team of Central Student Services staff servicing both undergraduate and graduate students with Financial Aid, Student Accounting, Registration, and other student related needs. The position will actively serve students and their families through chat, phone, and in-person interactions. The incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders and support and utilize software. In addition, this position will assist in developing and implementing specific policies, programs, and services to ensure student requirements and needs are properly communicated and accurately addressed in collaboration with the Financial Aid, Student Accounting, and Registrar offices.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: One year of customer service experience in higher education or office setting preferred

Job Duties:
- 40% - Manage the front desk services of the Central Student Service Office including coordination of front-desk activities, training student issues, and the day-to-day operations of the student worker positions within Central Student Services. - (Essential)
- 35% - Advise and counsel prospective and current students and families on policy and processes, unique circumstances for individual applicants, and options for funding a college education. - (Essential)
- 10% - Assess and interpret Financial Aid, Student Accounting, and Registrar policies and procedures to the successful implementation and administration of collaborative student essential services. - (Essential)
- 10% - Provides budgetary support to the Central Student Services office and administers the procurement and purchasing process. - (Essential)
- 5% - Supports the office functions by completing all other duties and special projects as assigned. - (Essential)
