Job Summary/Basic Functions
The Student Associate will support the Office of Equal Opportunity & Title IX in its compliance, education, and outreach efforts. This role provides administrative, programmatic, and event support, including front desk coverage, case file organization, volunteer coordination, hearing logistics, and awareness campaigns. The associate will gain professional experience in a legal and compliance-focused office while contributing to the University’s commitment to equal access across the campus community.
The position requires professionalism, discretion, and adherence to university policies, including confidentiality, FERPA, and the EKU Code of Conduct. The associate is expected to communicate promptly with supervisors about scheduling matters and uphold the highest ethical standards when handling sensitive or protected information.

Minimum Qualifications
Licensure & Certifications: Must be enrolled at EKU

Preferred Qualifications:
Basic computer/technology skills Ability to interact positively with faculty, staff, and students Graphic/creative design experience is a plus, but not necessary

Job Duties:
- 40% - Administrative & Front Desk Support Manage phone calls, front desk inquiries, and visitor flow. Assist with case file organization, data entry, and communication logs under staff supervision. - (Essential)
- 20% - Program & Event Support Assist with logistics and staffing for educational events and tabling. Help prepare promotional materials, resource handouts, and contribute ideas for awareness campaigns. - (Essential)
- 20% - Student Engagement & Volunteer Coordination Support scheduling and communication for student volunteers. Assist with developing volunteer training and outreach materials. - (Essential)
- 10% - Hearing Support Provide logistical assistance for Title IX hearings, including room setup, technology checks, and general support tasks under staff direction. - (Essential)
- 10% - Professional Development & Other Duties Complete required training modules, participate in relevant campus workshops, and assist with projects or initiatives that support office goals. - (Essential)
