| The Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at Eastern Kentucky University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor beginning Spring 2026. Applicants must have a research or clinical doctorate in occupational therapy or a related field from an accredited institution at the time of appointment. Must have licensure in Kentucky and initial NBCOT certification at the time of appointment. ABD applicants may be considered but must have a doctorate degree (verified by official transcripts) at the time of appointment. The position begins January 2026.
The position serves the BS in Occupational Science program and Occupational Therapy Doctorate (professional and post-professional concentrations). With relevant experience, candidate may also teach in the PhD in Rehabilitation and Heath Sciences program in collaboration with the University of Kentucky. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop and maintain an active scholarly agenda, and participate in service to the department, university, and community. In addition, membership and participation in state, regional, national, or international professional organizations is recommended.

The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of artificial intelligence pertinent to the discipline and/or a willingness to pursue professional development to acquire such expertise.
