Research findings indicate that superintendents of effective districts exhibit high levels of involvement in instructional matters. This course provides an overview of issues dealing with program design, development, and evaluation that enhance teaching and learning.

Job Summary:
The Drake University Educational Leadership Team invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor. This position will be responsible for teaching Operations Management. The successful candidate will teach one section in the Fall of 2025 (August-October) to a cohort of aspiring superintendents. The course will take place both online and one weekend at the Drake University campus in Des Moines, IA. Blackboard and Zoom are used for online instruction.
The course objectives have already been established. The instructor is responsible for facilitating course activities and projects designed to meet the course objectives as well as grading all related coursework.

Minimum Qualifications:
At minimum a doctorate degree in education and relevant school leadership experience.

Job Duties:
- 100% - Essential duties include: • Teach using the pre-developed syllabus and provided textbook(s). • Establish a standards-based grading rubric to assessing students around the course objectives. • Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the course, both online and in-person. • Maintain timely communication with students to assist them in achieving course objectives. • Monitor and document individual student progress. • Communicate with the program director on student issues or course questions that arise. - (Essential)
