Department Summary:

The Department of Music is a unit of the Drake University School of Fine Arts and a visible musical resource for the community and region.

Housed within Drake's College of Arts & Sciences, the Department's mission is to provide a center for the study and understanding of music that develops students’ intellectual, practical, and expressive abilities by emphasizing professional preparation, collaborative learning, critical thinking, and musical communication.

Job Summary:

Accompany voice lessons, vocal ensemble(s) in rehearsals and performances.  Other accompanying situations may be offered or requested, dependent upon availability or circumstance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Undergraduate degree in Music Education, Music performance or professional experience as a piano accompanist.
