Department Summary:
QU-Drake United College, a unique joint degree program between Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and Qingdao University in Qingdao, China invites applicants for multiple faculty positions for the Fall 2025. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. degree, or near completion, in computer science, information systems, statistics, mathematics, data science, or a related area and should be able to teach in a variety of courses in programming, spreadsheets, statistics, machine learning, data mining, generalized linear models, regression, time series, data bases, cloud computer, statistics, or digital ethics.

Job Summary:
Faculty will teach courses developed by Drake University faculty mirroring Drake's U.S. curriculum, and all instruction will be in English. Faculty will hold the rank of Assistant Professor of Practice and will spend up to six (6) months of their renewable nine-month appointment teaching on-site in Qingdao, with a teaching load of four (4) courses per semester. Faculty will also spend time in Des Moines, Iowa for training and support before and after teaching abroad.

Minimum Qualifications:
A Ph.D., or near completion, in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or a related area is required.

Additional Information:
Salary is competitive with peer institutions and dependent on qualifications and experience. Housing accommodations in China will be compensated in addition to other benefits like supplemental health insurance.
