Job Summary:

Drake University's Zimpleman College of Business invites applications for an Adjunct Instructor in Insurance to teach one online section of Operational Risk Management in Fall 2026. The focus of this course is on how organizations identify, analyze, and manage the possibility of loss caused by failed or inadequate processes or systems, or caused by events external to the organization. Essential functions include evaluating student work and assigning grades as well as meeting periodically with department supervisor to discuss class.

Minimum Qualifications:

An earned Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Business or actuarial science is required and closely related fields will be considered from an accredited university. Evidence of demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the university-level is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

Masters Degree in Business, Actuarial Science, or related discipline. Work experience in the insurance industry. Evidence of demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the university-level is preferred.
