Job Summary:
Drake University is seeking applicants for a part-time assistant coach. The successful candidate will support a positive academic, athletic, and social environment for student-athletes while creating a culture of excellence and ethics.
· Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
· Ability to build rapport and students, coaches and staff.
· Skills to help student-athletes improve through training / coaching.
· Ability to complete work within deadlines under little guidance.
· Ability to develop and sustain relationships with prospective student athletes, parents, and coaches.

Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· Knowledge and basic proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel
· Knowledge of applicable NCAA Rules and regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience playing at the collegiate level preferred.
· Master’s degree preferred.
· Coaching experience at the collegiate or professional level preferred.

Job Duties:
- 60% - Assist with coaching and development of student-athletes
- 20% - Assist with recruitment of student-athletes
- 10% - Assist with organization and execution of all practice sessions and meetings
- 10% - Complete other tasks as assigned by the head coach
