ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer (Piling) to join our team at Groundex to support our long-term geotechnical projects across Western Australia.

As the Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of construction activities, providing technical input, and supporting the wider team in achieving overall project success.

Other key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead assigned scopes of work, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Provide and seek technical advice across design, construction, and program modifications.
  • Maintain strong project performance, even in challenging conditions, and take ownership of issues in your scope.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage resources across work areas and teams to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Apply sound commercial judgement to decisions, contributing to project profitability.
  • Build positive relationships by understanding client needs and delivering quality outcomes that meet contract, budget, and compliance requirements.
  • Ensure all site activities comply with HSEQ standards, demonstrating strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental performance.
  • Select and engage capable suppliers and subcontractors based on quality, safety, and value for money.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and resource efficiency to deliver successful outcomes.

To be successful, you will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Civil Engineering or similar
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in relevant industry
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • White Card - CPCWHS1001 Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry
  • Valid Driver’s License
