  • Pay rate is dependent on Enterprise Agreement and experience - $40.51 - $49.49 per hour + super 

 About the role

Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, our Registered Nurses are responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care of patients requiring high dependency and cardiology intervention.

Our RNs are supported in their ongoing clinical education and provided with opportunities for career progression.

You will be caring for various types of patients including but not limited to, post cardiac intervention, colorectal, urology and bariatric surgeries. The unit also has the capacity to monitor 4 patients with telemetry. You will be part of a small High Dependency Unit team, but also have the benefits of being part of the wider surgical ward team as the unit is based on our surgical ward.

What you bring 

  • AHPRA Registration with a current practising certificate
  • Must have demonstrated critical care experience.
  • Post graduate certificate in Critical Care / Cardiology Nursing highly regarded
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
