About the role
Calvary Adelaide Hospital is the largest private hospital in South Australia and we are providing an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary Allied Health team.
Our Allied Health team specialise in both acute care and rehabilitation services. We provide a high quality Physiotherapy service, within a large interdisciplinary Allied Health team, to a range of patients including orthopaedic, cardiorespiratory, general medical, general surgical, neurosurgery, spinal surgery and neurology.
The successful applicant will be appointed to a full time ongoing position, working across both the acute and rehabilitation services within the hospital. The role is appointed at an AHP1 level, and shifts are rostered across a 7 day service, commencing initially on weekdays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team oriented Allied Health interdisciplinary care
- High standard of clinical and professional practice
- High level critical thinking ability
- Comprehensive assessment of patients with a wide variety of conditions
- Create, monitor and progress individual treatment plans
- Development of patient-focused goals
- Discharge planning with patients to ensure a safe and timely discharge
- Prescribing and arranging for provision of appropriate equipment
What you bring
- Degree or equivalent in Physiotherapy, which entitles registration with the AHPRA.
- Minimum 1 year physiotherapy experience
- Enthusiasm to support the physiotherapy team to provide high quality physiotherapy services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the desire to be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering integrated and quality healthcare patient outcomes.
- Commitment to relevant professional development.
- Ability to engage and work collaboratively with relevant internal and external agencies.
- Computer literate, with ability to organise, set priorities and manage time effectively.
- Flexibility to work across acute, rehabilitation and ambulatory daypatient services.
- Willing to undertake pool rescue training and participate in hydrotherapy sessions.
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
