About You:
We are looking for a Pharmacy Manager to provide long service leave cover at Calvary Health Care Bethlehem Hospital (CHCB), a sub-acute public hospital located in Caulfield providing specialist neurology and palliative care. This is a great opportunity for an experienced pharmacy supervisor or senior clinical pharmacist interested in career advancement.
In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership, management and provision of CHCB’s pharmacy’s services. This is a fixed term role, providing leave cover for our Pharmacy Manager.
The role is 72 hours per fortnight, our pharmacists work across Monday to Friday, between 8:30 to 05:00 pm.
There are no requirements for on call or weekend work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the provision of clinical pharmacy services to designated wards and supply of medication.
• Encompass the provision of skilled and specialised clinical and non-clinical pharmacy services to patients internally and externally
• Completing all administration, management and co-ordination of all pharmacy procedures
• Ensure the department is compliant in accordance with all acts, regulations and guidelines, including working with the Quality Systems team to demonstrate compliance for accreditation with the National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards.
• Quality Assurance activities within the department and chairing the Medication Safety Working Party.
• To provide CHCB’s clinical trials pharmacy service. No previous experience required, all training and support provided as needed.
• Manage two permanent part time pharmacists.
What you bring:
• Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Pharmacist
• Background in pharmacy leadership roles highly desired
• Experience in Pharmacy Digital Health Systems, Medchart & IPhamacy
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
• A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
