About the role
Based in Wagga Wagga, NSW, we are looking for a clinical staff member to assist with pre operative sterile set ups and post operative decontamination and collation of instruments. This would suit somebody looking for a full time/ part time position on a temporary six months contract. There is a possibility of a permanent position for the right applicant.
Your main duties will include:
- Preparation of sterile set ups according to the surgeon's preference cards.
- Checking and decontamination of surgical instruments immediately post op.
- Packing, transporting and organising transfer of instruments and equipment.
About you
- Hard working, honest and reliable
- Experience as a perioperative nurse or CSSD technician
- Ability to work independently, whilst also being able to collaborate with the multidisciplinary team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Relevant qualifications and right to work in australia.
