CSSD Sterilising Technician - St Lukes Hospital

About the role

To assist with the provision of a sterilisation service to facilitate the operation of the department, wards and other needs as required. The position also provides support and assistance to all personnel as required within the organisation in meeting the needs of internal and external customers. 

Your main duties will include:

  • Reprocessing of equipment for our busy theatre at St Luke's which covers orthopaedic and ENT surgeries.
  • Cleaning, Sterilisation and instrument tracking.

About you:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles and practices of Infection Control will be highly regarded
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment and/or autonomously
  • Sound literacy, numeracy skills and appropriate knowledge of medical terminology skills
