About the role

You will join our Dietetics team which provides clinical services to the 32 bed inpatient ward and the State wide Progressive Neurological Disorders (SPNDS) outpatient clinic. The role also involves participation in departmental quality improvement activities and education provision.  Supervision is provided as well as great opportunities for professional development.

 What you bring

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in clinical dietetics. New graduates need not apply.
  • Registration/membership with the Dietitian’s Association of Australia
  • Current APD status is required. 
  • Experience with enteral nutrition essential
  • Clinical experience in hospital or community settings
  • The ability to think critically and work with  a varied and  busy caseload
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Applicants must be eligible for ongoing entitlement to work in Australia and hold a current and valid Victorian Driver's Licence.

Desirable:

  • Current clinical knowledge in the field of progressive neurology and/ or palliative care
  • Experience with food service management & systems
  • Evidence of involvement in quality improvement programs
