About the role

 

Provide assistance in the scanning of medical records, checking that current diagnostic results and correspondence are in the admission that is to be scanned of the patient’s medical record and submitting for processing. 

 

The Medical Records Clerk is responsible for maintaining and organizing patient medical records in a healthcare facility. This includes ensuring accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of all medical records. The Medical Records Clerk will also be responsible for retrieving and releasing medical records as needed.

 

Your main duties will include:

  • Commitment to ensuring quality services are delivered to both internal & external clients through continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintenance of the integrity of the Patient Information system
  • Comply with relevant Calvary WHS policies, procedures, work instructions and requests

About you

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience in liaising with a wide range of internal and external clients
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of the need for continuation of both personal and professional development
  • Commitment to ensuring a safe working environment for both internal & external clients through participation in safety audit programs

 

What you bring:

• Demonstrated competence in the use of Patient Administration system (i.e. inPatient Information System)
• Ability to sort files into alphabet and/or numerical order
• Ability to prioritise and organise work and meet targets and deadlines. Ability to work unsupervised.
• Attention to detail
• Effective communication & interpersonal skills
• Ability to use Computer and scanning system.

Other adhoc tasks when required.
