Calvary Adelaide Hospital is the largest private hospital in South Australia and we are seeking an experienced AHP1 or AHP2 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic multidisciplinary Allied Health team.

  • Minimum 2 years relevant clinical experience required
  • Full time and part time considered
  • Two positions available, permanent and 12 month contracts
  • Position includes requirement to work weekends and weekdays within a roster
  • Rotate between acute, inpatient rehab and day rehab departments
  • Position may be required to work across multiple Calvary sites

 

Our Allied Health team specialises in both acute care and rehabilitation services. We provide a high quality service within a large interdisciplinary Allied Health team, to a range of patients including ICU, orthopaedic, cardiorespiratory, general medical, general surgical, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, neurology, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation. With our expanding services we have exciting opportunities for an applicant with experience within a hospital setting.

  • To provide comprehensive, evidence-based and patient centred physiotherapy assessment and management
  • Development of patient-focused goals
  • Discharge planning
  • Prescribing and arranging for provision of appropriate equipment
  • Team orientated
  • High standard of clinical and professional practice
  • High level of clinical knowledge and critical thinking ability
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Provide mentoring to students or allied health assistants
  • Willing to undertake pool rescue training and participate in hydrotherapy sessions
  • Flexibility to work across acute (including ICU), inpatient rehabilitation and ambulatory daypatient services

What you bring:

  • Degree in Physiotherapy which entitles registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia and AHPRA
  • Enthusiasm to support the physiotherapy team to provide high quality physiotherapy services
  • Excellent communication skills with the desire to be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering integrated and quality healthcare patient outcomes
  • Demonstrated involvement and commitment to relevant professional development
  • Experience in the assessment and treatment of patients presenting with a variety of different conditions
  • Ability to engage and work collaboratively with relevant internal and external agencies
  • Advanced ability to organise, set priorities and manage time effectively for caseload management
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
