About the role
 
The CSSD Technician is responsible for the cleaning, assembly, inspection, wrapping and sterilisation of surgical instruments and medical equipment across the CSSD and Endoscopy departments.
This is a full time position and the Sterilising Certificate is an advantage.
 
 
Your main duties will include:
  • Process instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards and guidelines
  • Undertake testing of equipment as required and promptly escalate any identified anomalies to the appropriate facility authority
  • Undertake functions according to the GESA & GENCA, HICMR and  AS5369:2023 current standards
About you
  • Essential

    • Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or willingness to attain
    • Effective communication skills and willingness to work in a team environment
    • Commitment to continuing professional development
    • Commitment to enhancement of Calvary Healthcare’s Mission & Values

    Desirable

    • Previous experience in CSSD and or Endoscopy services
    • Understanding of current Australian Standard AS5369:2023
