About us

The Perioperative Admissions and Discharges area is seeking to appoint a Clinical Nurse to provide support, mentorship and guidance to our dynamic team. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. The role is part time/full time negotiable working across Monday to Friday varied shifts. 

Key Responsibilities

  • A professional working relationship with all customers with excellent organisation, prioritisation, communication and clinical skills
  • Manage rostering and staffing to meet the department's needs
  • Deliver education and engage with staff to provide a common understanding of the policies and protocols used
  • Accountable for own standards of practice and providing support & ongoing education to staff
  • Accountable for the delivery of patient care from admission to surgery and discharge
  • Maintains an agreed portfolio and champions a high clinical standard for the unit

About you:

  • Registered as a registered nurse with AHPRA and holds a current practicing certificate 
  • You will bring a positive attitude to the role with a ‘can do’ approach.
  • Ability to develop and maintain sound working relationships through effective interpersonal relationships
  • Sound understanding of NSQHS clinical standards, pre and post op assessments, local policies & procedures
  • Dedicated to best practice and ability to promote a positive culture whilst prioritising best patient outcomes
  • A desire to assist in leading a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
