Occupational Therapist- Clinical Facilitator

About the role

An exciting hospital based acute and rehabilitation role, working across multiple wards in a newly established state of the art health care facility. Providing Clinical Facilitation for Occupational Therapy Students. As well as providing Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions as part of a multi-disciplinary team, assisting patients to achieve health outcomes.      

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the clinical education of Adelaide University Occupational Therapy students.
  • Provide Occupational Therapy to a diverse caseload.
  • Participate in the multi-disciplinary management of patients throughout their healthcare journey. 
  • Provide supervision and guidance to team members.
  • Contribute to the development and evaluation of high quality services, particularly the development of a clinical placement structure. 
  • Participate in professional development and education of colleagues. 

What you bring 

  • Full practicing AHPRA registration.
  • Experience in Occupational Therapy assessment and interventions, not suitable for new graduates.
  • Experience with Clinical Facilitation of Occupational Therapy University placements preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant disease, conditions and hospital presentations.
  • High quality communication, teamwork and organisation skills. 
  • Experience and interest in Quality Improvement and Service Development activities
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation.
  • Current drivers’ license is preferable.
