Senior Resident Medical Officer – Medical Oncology

 

The Senior Resident Medical Officer is responsible for supporting Staff Specialist Medical Oncologists with patient care (in and out patient) and patient related administrative matters.

The Calvary Mater Newcastle – Medical Oncology Unit is one of the busiest adult cancer treatment facilities in NSW for medical oncology consultations and treatments with intravenous chemotherapy, immunotherapy and hormonal therapy for all types of cancers. This department is supported by large clinical trials facility, enabling patients to access trials of new medicines before they are widely available.

Selection criteria

  • Primary medical degree that is registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated experience at Resident Medical Officer level (or higher) with the knowledge and ability to use own initiative and discretion under supervision.
  • Satisfactory to excellent report of clinical performance from the Supervisor of Training or delegate.

Requirements:

  • Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold a visa with unlimited rights to work in Australia.
