About the role
 
This is a part-time permanent position 24 hours a week working at St Johns Hospital, providing nutritional dietetic services for predominantly rehabilitation, oncology, and palliative patients. It is a great opportunity to work amongst an enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team. The position will be available at the beginning of February.
 
Your main duties will include:
  • Assessing the nutritional status and requirements of patients 
  • Developing, implementing and evaluating nutritional dietetic services for patients 
  • Demonstrates the application of a comprehensive knowledge base on the principles and standards required for best practice and enhanced clinical outcomes
  • Act as a resource person to the Hospital and Hotel Services on any matter relating to food and nutrition.
About you
  • Bachelor of Science/Applied Science plus Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics or Masters Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics or equivalent
  • Eligible for membership of the Dietitians’ Association of Australia
  • Ability to function independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
  • Proven degree of excellence in communication and interpersonal skills including patient advocacy and conflict resolution
