As a Health & Security Assistant (Wardsperson) you will be responsible for providing support across the hospital, working seven (7) days a week 24-hour rotating roster. The Health & Security Assistant (Wardsperson) will provide non-clinical care to a variety of areas, including but not limited to:

• To assist nursing staff in patient care
• To transport patients for admissions and discharge
• To attend all emergency codes and mortuary duties
• To assist security staff in code black situations
• To be on call for cleaning of discharge beds as required on night duty
• To attend to ICU on night work, weekends and public holidays or when there are no ICU Technicians available

Rotating roster works 8-hour shifts over a 24/7 period. The shift times are:
Day shift -- 0600 - 1400
Afternoon shift --1400 - 2200
Night shift -- 2200 - 0600

What you bring 

• Current NSW Security Licence. 
• Senior First Aid Certificate.
• Previous experience working in the support services area in a health care environment.

Positions available:  Temporary (six months) Full-Time and Part-Time (7 days 24-hour rotating roster)

Salary Classification:  Health and Security Assistant

Remuneration:  $33.39 per hour + shift penalties + allowances
