About you

There is an exciting opportunity for motivated and dynamic Registered Nurse's to join the clinical team of Calvary's Acute Medical Unit. The Medical Unit is a 25 bed mixed speciality unit that provides quality care in the areas of Respiratory, General Medical, Endocrinology, Cardiology and Infection Diseases. We are looking for passionate clinicians who enjoy working in a fast paced medical environment and are committed to delivering high-quality-patient-centre care. If you thrive in a busy ward setting and are looking to join a supportive and dedicated team, we would live to hear from you.

Positions advertised are for Permanent Part-time shift work. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Practice in accordance with Calvary and  relevant Government Health Policies and Procedures, the position description, Code of Conduct, industrial agreements and ANMC competencies.
  • Consistently and enthusiastically delivers high levels of patient service to exceed patient expectations
  • Plans nursing care in consultation with individuals/ groups, significant others and the interdisciplinary health care team
  • Contribute to patient and staff and wellbeing by diligently managing risks and immediately reporting hazards, incidents, serious near misses, accidents, illness or injury
  • Supports and respects team members, communicating effectively and demonstrating a commitment to the team 

What you bring

  • Registration with AHPRA and in possession of a current practising certificate
  • Working with vulnerable People Check
  • Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
  • Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
  • Demonstration of maintenance of CPD points
  • Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
